Spotted in Memorial Park
Buzz residents took advantage of the beautiful fall weather by spending time in Memorial Park. At the sprawling urban park, bike riders cruised around the cycling loop, friends hiked the trails tucked beneath tall pine trees and runners and walkers took to the three-mile gravel track.
“Blue skies, clear weather . . . what a perfect day for exercise,” said Aimee Beach while walking with her friend Francine Bailard.
Bailard’s dog was on a leash, but that couldn't contain her excitement and energy. “My dog usually refuses to walk but today she’s all for it,” said Bailard jokingly.
The city’s surprising drop in temperature brought out all the early indicators of fall; the leaves are starting to show hues of red, yellow, brown and tan, people are wearing sweaters and boots, and grocery stores entrances are lined with pumpkins.
