Houston Junior Woman’s Club will hold its 35th annual Holiday Happening fundraising luncheon and style show on Oct. 22. Pictured (from left) are supporters Elizabeth Curry and Yoosun Sharma. The doors will open at 10 a.m. at the Royal Sonesta Houston Galleria (2222 West Loop South), allowing guests to shop for handmade holiday gifts and gift baskets prior to the luncheon. Over the last 35 years, HJWC has raised $5.9 million for local children’s charities. This year the funds raised by HJWC will benefit Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens of the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, Texas Children’s Cancer Center at Texas Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House Houston and other local children’s charities.
