The Periwinkle Foundation held its 6th annual Periwinkle Kickball Classic at the Houston Sportsplex. Forty-eight teams entered in the tournament, and seven high schools competed in the high school bracket. The St. John’s Class of 2020 were crowned the champions, and the St. John’s Class of 2021 finished as runner ups. Other schools included St. Agnes Academy/Strake Jesuit College Preparatory, Bellaire High School, The Emery/Weiner School, St. John’s Class of 2022 and Dulles High School. More than $52,000 was raised for The Periwinkle Foundation, which supports those affected by cancer and other illnesses at Texas Children's Hospital.
