Maybe you’re familiar with the party game Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon, where you can link any Hollywood figure to Kevin Bacon in six or fewer connected film roles. At The Buzz, we often can do the same with people in our own community, linking any two residents in a few steps. Not a day goes by without a coincidental meeting or connection between residents, whether in person or through one of our stories. Take this month’s cover story on Telluride, by our wandering Travel Buzz writer, Tracy Barnett, in which my family found ourselves in the middle of our very own game of six degrees. We were a thousand miles from Houston and a world away in terms of beautiful scenery, and at every turn we ran into warm and welcoming residents from our Buzz coverage areas.
