Lucky, age 11

I am a sweet, spoiled rescue mutt. In fact, my mom says she’s never had anything other than a rescue dog. She says that we know we are rescued and show our gratitude, or something weird like that. All I know is I am glad she picked me up on Valentine’s Day 2004 on the highway. I was pregnant, cold and hungry. Now I have the best life. Every morning, my mom has to wake me up for my breakfast and walk. Sheesh, mom! After that it’s on my blanket on the couch I go to watch The Today Show. When my mom adopted my little sister, Birdie, I was upset, but now I guess she’s alright. We love nighttime walks with our mom and dad. Mom is pregnant with two babies coming at the end of this summer. I was worried at first, but I guess having two new pups in the house just means more food to beg for!
