At a recent event at The Hobby Center for the Performing Arts, supporters of the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation, including co-chairs Maria and Neil Bush and Anne Taylor, Greg Bean, BBHLF president Dr. Julie Baker Finck and Mayor Annise Parker, unveiled a plan for community action to increase Houston’s literacy rates. The foundation improves literacy through mentoring, advocacy and family classes. Seebarbarabush.org.
