Cradle, shoot, score
Parker Rose (pictured, on left), a sixth grader at River Oaks Baptist School, outruns his lacrosse opponent to make his way down the field. Rose plays for the Houston Hawks, a tournament team made up of fifth- and sixth-grade boys from several different schools, including River Oaks Baptist School, St. John’s School and St. Francis Episcopal Day School. Led by coaches Drew Anton and Tim Proffitt, under the direction of Sam Chambers, the Hawks were victorious over Kingwood in a game during the recent Kinkaid Snowball Tournament. Rose has played lacrosse for three years and looks forward to continuing this spring with the Hylax Hornets team.
