Gold champions
Allyson and Dan Mark, with son David and daughters Linda and Laura and mom Patti Mark, were in Vail during the Alpine World Ski Championships. They were impressed that the Colorado Children’s Chorale sang the national anthems of the countries that won gold medals that day. The singers practiced the top 15 countries’ national anthems all year. When Ted Ligety won gold for the men’s giant slalom, they heard them sing The Star-Spangled Banner. They celebrated David’s 29th birthday at a fave restaurant, Sweet Basil. Allyson snow-shoed and hiked while the rest of the fam skied.
