From basketball to books

Blake Berry and Don Coleman

Blake Berry, a Memorial High School senior, was awarded the Don Coleman Scholarship. Don Coleman was the first basketball coach at Memorial High School. After 37 years of coaching, Coleman is among the top nationally in terms of wins. Blake (pictured with Coleman) is a three-year varsity letterman, three-year starter, team captain, MVP and valedictorian of the Class of 2015. Blake is planning on studying biomedical sciences in hopes of attending medical school after college.
