Celebrating Nature
Head to the Houston Arboretum on Saturday to celebrate Arbor Day 2015 and “end treelessness” by participating in nature-themed activities. The day includes making recycled paper hats, a nature playground with fun children’s areas, taking home a native tree seedling, and much more. See the details.
Calling All Astros Fans
If you’re a huge fan of the Houston Astros, be sure to participate in Astros FanFest on Saturday, which includes autograph sessions, running the bases, bullpen throwing sessions, an interactive kids zone, and more. Admission is free but all fans must have an admission voucher to enter FanFest. See the details.

Winter Weather (Indoors) at The Children’s Museum of Houston
Bring your family (dressed in warm clothing) to The Children’s Museum for its “Below Freezing WonderWeek.” Interactive activities include making icicles, learning how to predict the weather, making your own snowballs, learning about snowflake symmetry, and much more. “Below Freezing” continues through Weds., Jan. 28. Now Announcing…Mr. Bellaire
This Wednesday evening, Bellaire High School is hosting its fourth annual Mr. Bellaire Pageant in the Bellaire High School auditorium. Twenty-five senior male contestants will compete for the title, accompanied by 25 senior female students in different categories.
