St. Agnes/Strake Jesuit Mixed Choir All State

Members of the St. Agnes/Strake Jesuit Mixed Choir were recently selected by the Texas Private Schools Music Education Association (TPSMEA) judges to participate in the All State, Region and Treble Choirs. They had more students selected for the All State Choir than any other choir in the State of Texas, which is such an incredible accomplishment!

The TPSMEA All State Choir includes:
Soprano: Sofia Botti, Maddy Delgado, who is a four-year member of the All State choir, Victoria McDonald, Olivia Villarreal, Hannah Watkins, Audrey Welsh, Isabella Zambrano
Alto: Laura Ghorayeb, Lea Greteman, Grace Hatfield, Shannon Lewis
Tenor: Andy Gambini
Bass: Blake Bartlett, Dennis Clutter, Patrick Jones, Paco Medina, Jonathan Nguyen

The TPSMEA All Region Choir includes:
Alto: Alex Faison, Abby Fordyce
Bass: Mojola Balogun, Ben Garvis

The TPSMEA Regional Treble Choir includes:
Alto: Eleanor Davis, Camille Guidry, Madelyn Hyzak, Nicole Linnard, Lauren McLane
Soprano: Veronica Castillo, Hannah Ducay

The choir is currently preparing for the 27th annual performance of Messiah, which takes place on Dec. 11 and 12. The choir sings classical, contemporary and musical theater Christmas songs. There will also be performances from the elite choirs of Double Triple Trio and Performance Workshop.

Some of the songs they are practicing for the performance are Silver Bells and A Musicological Journey through the Twelve Days of Christmas. Arthur Buckley, SAA Performing Arts Chair and founder of the Messiah concert, anticipates this performance all year long. Messiah is a special way to bring everyone together to welcome the Christmas season.
