Most important meal of the day? So we’ve been told. But one thing is for sure: Breakfast out is invigorating and festive, especially with visiting guests. Many Houston restaurants open early for breakfast or brunch, such as Liberty Kitchen & Oysterette near River Oaks, while others, including Kenny & Ziggy’s in Uptown and Buffalo Grille (multiple locations), serve breakfast all day long.

Frank’s Grill and Tel-Wink Restaurant & Grille in South Houston feed our hunger for classic morning dishes in a true diner setting. Doughnuts for breakfast is a sweet option at River Oaks Doughnuts in River Oaks and Lee’s Fried Chicken and Doughnuts in the Heights, both of which also serve excellent kolaches.

This month’s listings are all breakfast spots worth a visit.
