Event Roundup: What to Look Forward to This Weekend
Rice Village is hosting Sounds of Summer, a weekly concert series in the Morningside Plaza by Hopdoddy. Concerts will take place on Fridays, 5:30-7:30 p.m., May 4-25.

Rice Village is hosting a weekly concert series every Friday this month, 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Morningside Plaza. Tonight, Texas duo The Gibbonses will perform.
Silver Street Studios is hosting an all-day festival on Saturday stating with a family-friendly portion from 11 a.m.3 p.m. and an evening fiesta with an optional Mezcal tasting from 7 p.m.-midnight. There will be food and drinks, dancers, local vendors, a live band, portrait booth and more.
Wear your finest hat and watch the Kentucky Derby at Sam Houston Race Park. There will be a Derby Hat Contest and exciting races.
Cinco de Mayo at Market Square Park
Celebrate Cinco de Mayo in Market Square Park on Saturday starting at 5 p.m. with a concert in the park, DJ, shopping, lawn games, food, drinks and more.
JMBLYA 2018 takes place Sunday at Sam Houston Race Park with a lineup including: J. Cole, Migos, Kevin Gates, special guests Bun B, Trae Tha Truth, DJ Mr. Rogers and more.
