Event Roundup: What to Look Forward to This Weekend

 

Happy Friday, Happy Passover and Happy Easter Weekend! We’ve rounded up several fun events for you to enjoy this busy holiday weekend. 

Easter Egg-Stravaganza  
Celebrate Easter with a fun-filled day on the farm on Friday or Saturday at Blessington Farms’ Easter Egg-Stravaganza! Enjoy an Easter egg hunt plus other exciting kid-friendly activities such as hayrides, barrel trains, giant slides and animal encounters. 

Puppies for Breakfast  
Stop by Market Square Park on Saturday to check out this unique outdoor festival that brings everything “dog” to one location! This pet-friendly event features more than 50 vendors and artists, the world’s largest dog piñata, a dog costume contest, a park-wide egg hunt for dogs and more! 

Earth Day Bash  
Discover ways to protect the planet at the Children’s Museum of Houston’s Earth Day Bash on Saturday. Special events include water purification and filtration demos led by the University of Houston, an environmental scavenger hunt plus a number of activities and games to help you learn about the environment. 

Earth Day at Memorial Park  
Celebrate Earth Day with a number of environmentally-friendly events at Memorial Park this Saturday! Join The Buzz Magazines for plogging – picking up litter while jogging (or walking!) – plant and take home your own wildflower, join Memorial Park Conservancy staff for a hike and bring your kids for a guided scavenger hunt. Earth Day 2019 at the Arboretum
Enjoy the outdoors at the annual Earth Day Celebration at the Houston Arboretum. Festivities include guided nature hikes, face painting, recycled material crafts, scavenger hunts and a native plant sale. 

Easter Egg Hunt  
Bring your family and friends to Evelyn’s Park on Saturday morning for a free Easter egg hunt, organized by the West U Baptist and Crosspoint Church. Enjoy carnival games, crafts, food and of course hunting for eggs! 

NBA Playoffs: Rockets v Jazz Game 3
Don’t forget to tune into ESPN on Saturday night to support our Houston Rockets in the NBA Playoffs! This is game three in a best-of-seven series against the Utah Jazz. 

Easter Celebration
Visit Galveston this Sunday for a special Easter celebration on historic Pleasure Pier. The festival includes a Golden Egg hunt for kids plus opportunities to take pictures with the Easter Bunny and a screening of the movie “Hop.”
