Teens for green
Kayla Sidik, a senior at Memorial High School, founded the Teens for Green club at MHS about two years ago to raise environmental awareness and inspire teens to enjoy more time in nature. Club members have been working outside on community projects, such as cleaning up Rummel Creek from plastic runoff at the Houston Audubon Edith L. Moore Nature Sanctuary. Pictured, at the nature sanctuary, are (from left) students Layla Rao, Sophie Trinh, Christopher Salha, Kayla Sidik, Sophia Trifilio, Margot Thevoux, Ian Sidik and Kanari Hirano.
