Haley Kurisky, a student at University of Houston Law Center and graduate of Rice University and Memorial High School, is passionate about Houston and covers the music scene, events, culture and more. 9. From Texas to Tinseltown: 'The Lost Husband' Premieres
Local author Katherine Center's book, The Lost Husband, made its movie debut in April of 2020. Although the red-carpet premiere in Hollywood was cancelled, Katherine virtually toasted with friends, family members and those involved in the making of the movie. 2. The Yard Sign that Went Viral
This year, The Buzz was inspired by the hard work and dedication of frontline workers. Pooja Salhotra wrote a Buzzworthy article on West University resident Robyn Goldstein, who designed a yard sign to support men and women on the front lines. Proceeds from the sales were donated to the non-profit Brighter Bites.
