DACAMERA presents Pedrito Martinez Group
Master percussionist and singer Pedrito Martinez and his Latin Jazz band will be in concert at Miller Outdoor Theatre this Friday at 8 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
Celebrate the start of Bird Week on Saturday morning with a paddling tour on the bayou led by members of the Houston Audubon Young Professionals group. Along the way, discover bird species that migrate through our area. All canoe equipment will be supplied but bringing your own flotation device is recommended. This event is open to anyone. Susan G. Komen Hope Parade
On Saturday, 8-10 a.m., celebrate survivors of breast cancer and support those undergoing cancer treatment as they parade through CITYCENTRE in their cars. After the parade, there will be a memorial wall and memorial flags in the plaza.
Blessington Farms Fall Festival and Pumpkin Patch
Get in the spirit of the fall season with the annual fall festival and pumpkin patch at Blessington Farms. The family-friendly fun includes hayrides, giant slides, barrel train rides, pedal cars, and hands-on animal encounters including chickens, sheep, goats, camels, a walk-through aviary and more. Fall festivities kick off Sat., Sept. 18 and is open every Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. through Nov. 21.
Fiestas Patrias at Children’s Museum Houston
Celebrate Mexican Independence Day at Children's Museum Houston Saturday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., with live music, art, dance and more.
The Houston Jazz Festival
The Houston Jazz Collective presents Shelley Carrol and Mike Moreno at the 2021 Houston Jazz Festival at the Miller Outdoor Theatre this Saturday at 8 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
Flea by Night
At Discovery Green on Saturday night, Flea by Night, an open-air market featuring local artisans and small business owners, will be open from 6 to 10 p.m.
Asia Society's Mid-Autumn Festival
Asia Society's Family Day, Sunday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., celebrates the Mid-Autumn Festival through live Taiwanese music and dance performances, Korean pop dances, and Vietnamese storytelling. The festival also includes art activities such as lantern-making, calligraphy, paper-cutting, and faux mooncakes.
Astros vs. D-Backs
The Astros face the D-backs on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at Minute Maid Park.
Houston Cougars vs. Grambling Tigers
UH takes on the Tigers on Saturday at 6 p.m. at TDECU Stadium.
Dynamo vs. Dallas FC
The Houston Dynamo takes on the Dallas FC this Saturday at 9 p.m. at BBVA Stadium.
DASH vs. Tigres Femenil
DASH faces the Tigres Femenil at 6 p.m. on Sunday at BBVA Stadium.
