Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour at NRG
Finally, Houston’s turn on Taylor’s The Eras Tour! Taylor will perform on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evening at NRG. Swifties, if you’re off to see Taylor, we want your photos. Share them with us at [email protected]. We’ll love you, Forever & Always.
Houston Arboretum’s Sip & Stroll
Sip and stroll along the trails at the Arboretum this evening starting at 5:30 p.m. The event includes two glasses of wine or Saint Arnold beer, cheese and charcuterie, and a specialty glass to take home. 21+. $45 nonmembers.
West U Outdoor Event Series
The West U Outdoor Event Series continues this evening with a double feature: A world-class juggling act from The Spence and Paul Show followed by an award-winning movie about Texas wildlife. The event takes place at Colonial Park this evening, 7-9:30 p.m.
Midtown Houston’s Art in the Park
The two-day family-friendly event will take place at Baldwin Park on Friday, 5-10 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The event features talented artists and artisans, musicians and performers, and food trucks, plus crafts and activities.
Earth Day 2023 at the Houston Arboretum
The Houston Arboretum’s Earth Day celebration, sponsored by Champion Energy Services, takes place on Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Meet some real local superheroes: wildland firefighters, park rangers, wildlife rehabilitators, and other incredible conservation professionals. Enjoy interactive booths, nature hikes, fun displays in the Discovery Room, and learn how to be a hero for our planet. Special guest Smokey Bear will be on site with Texas A&M Forest Service. Food trucks Mesquite Wood-fired Pizza and Berry’s Ices will be in attendance as well.
Earth Day at Children’s Museum Houston
Celebrate Earth Day and learn about nature with fun, nature themed projects, demonstrations, and experiments. General admission. The museum is open 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
2023 Houston Oyster & Seafest
The Houston Oyster & Seafest, benefiting the Oyster Shell Recycling Program, takes place at the Water Works at Buffalo Bayou Park on Saturday, 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Enjoy delicious oyster and seafood dishes from some of Houston’s best restaurants, beer, wine, and vodka bars, live music, educational exhibits, and more. Tickets start at $35.
Evelyn’s Park’s Picnic in the Park and Earth Day Celebration
Celebrate Earth Day and Evelyn's Park’s 6th Anniversary at Picnic in the Park on Saturday, 12-4 p.m. Highlights include a free 5,000 seedling giveaway donated by Trees For Houston; a community rock painting project hosted by The City of Bellaire Arts Board; Crush the Can activity hosted by The City of Bellaire Environmental Sustainability Board, who will provide recycling education; The Outliers Band live at the Gilman Subaru Southwest Entertainment Zone; T2 Dance and Instruction; F45 Training Central Houston exercise challenges; crafts; BubbleLick flavored edible bubbles; Tie Dye Shirts; Scavenger Hunts at theAlice and Wonderland Move One On Sculpture; face painting; vendors; birthday-cake cutting; and more. Green Mountain Energy Earth Day and Houston Public Works’ Water Works Festival
Discovery Green Conservancy, in partnership with Citizens Environmental Coalition, hosts this year’s Green Mountain Energy Earth Day, combined with the popular Houston Public Works’ Water Works Festival. The free event will take place on Saturday, April 22, from 12 – 5 p.m. and feature live music, performances, interactive exhibits, and mor. This year’s Green Mountain Energy Earth Day is themed around one of the most vital natural resources, water.
Corgi Racing to Benefit BARC
Adorable Corgis will compete for a cause at this fundraiser held at Kirby Ice House on Saturday, 1 p.m. The event will include food trucks, crawfish, backyard games, and Corgi Racing with the top four pups taking home prizes. The sports bar will be transformed into a dog track as they race for the trophy.
Earth Day Celebration at Memorial Park
Memorial Park hosts an Earth Day celebration at its Eastern Glades on Saturday, 6-9:30 p.m. The evening will include educational activities for kids, food trucks, and a children’s story time. Once the sun sets, there will be a screening of the nature documentary Deep in the Heart, focusing on the incredible nature found throughout the state of Texas.
