At happy hour seven years ago, Chris Scarbrough learned Kristen Hendrix likes to golf, so it was natural that he proposed to her on Pebble Beach in Carmel, Calif., last summer. Par for the course, they married Feb. 4 at the Smith Family Chapel at Riverbend Church with the reception at the Austin Country Club. Their big laugh was the groom’s cake styled just like his favorite blue Yeti cooler, topped with beer cans also made of carrot cake. A can was stored for their one-year anny. Turns out, not only can Chris squeeze a can, but he hand-addressed all
the invitations with a beautiful script. Exploring other endeavors, they honeymooned in Hawaii on helicopters, horses and hikes. Parents of the couple, Mark and Susan Hendrix and Tom and Belinda Scarbrough, know the adventure has just begun.
