Publisher's Note - December 2017

Joni and I were so excited to visit Los Angeles and watch Game 6 of the World Series in Dodger Stadium. After all, we met in Los Angeles. We still have friends there, and our youngest son lives there now. While Game 6 didn’t turn out as we’d hoped, we did get to watch Game 7 in a sports bar packed with Dodgers fans and create our own little Astros cheering section. But we were even more excited to return to Houston and join in the celebration for our World Series champions here. It was a funny turn of events for me, as LA felt like home 25 years ago, but our hearts have been in Houston for many years now, and we couldn’t be prouder. What a great way to end the year. After a rough couple of months for so many of our readers, I’m especially glad that 2017 ended up on a win, and I’m glad we ended up in Houston. [email protected]
