On this wet Fourth of July, West U residents were found undeterred, attending the Independence Day Bike Parade in large numbers through heavy rain. Kids and their parents ignored the rain and had a good time biking and walking from City Hall to the Rec Center.
Other participants in the parade included dogs, the “World Famous” West U Rotary Club Kazoo Marching Band and even Captain America! The parade was then followed by a very brief visit to activity booths at the Rec Center, before participants rushed home to continue celebrating indoors!
