Silent Film/Live Music with Two Star Symphony
Grab your lawn chairs and picnic blankets and head over to Discovery Green on Friday evening for a free screening of the silent film Girl Shy. The Two Star Symphony will perform an original score to the movie. Prior to the film, enjoy a 1920s costume contest and dance lessons!
Cars in the Park
Check out a collection of Classic Cars and Trucks and Exotic Cars at Evelyn’s Park “Cars in the Park” on Saturday. Bring your friends and neighbors for this fun, free event!
Sunday in the Park
Enjoy a relaxing Sunday afternoon at Discovery Green with free music and lawn games. Check out the library cart at the Houston Public Library outdoor reading room and the Art Cart “Rocket Dog” for games.
9/11 Heroes Run
Help raise awareness and honor the victims of 9/11 by participating in the 9/11 Heroes Run on Saturday morning. Runs take place all over the world and are 100 percent organized by local community volunteers. The Houston 5K kicks off at 8 a.m. from City Hall.
Screwed Up Sunday
Visit 8th Wonder Brewery on Sunday for the fifth annual Screwed Up Sunday, honoring the late, great DJ Screw. Tickets include access to live performances, an interactive live art show plus three beer tokens and a limited-edition souvenir pint glass. Note, this event is 21+ only.
Houston Polo Club Fall Classic
