Seniors wave goodbye

The Memorial High School (MHS) Class of 2024 said farewell as they drove down Piney Point Road during the fifth annual senior car parade. Graduates Hannah Abrams, McKay Grace, Cali Carr, and Margaret Cagle (pictured, from left) showed some Ole Miss pride in a nod to the school they will attend this fall as they cruised past the large crowd of well-wishers. Led by the school’s cheerleading team and accompanied by the Memorial Villages Fire Department, graduates proudly displayed their future plans on cars and trucks with window paint, balloons, streamers, flags, and inflatable school mascots as they waved to fans lining the streets. The tradition started as a Covid-era activity for the MHS Class of 2020 and was such a hit that it’s now a much-anticipated rite of passage for each senior class. Congrats, grads!
