From A Story of Two Wileys in 2005. Each of these boys, both named Wiley, was adopted by local families.
The Buzz Magazines is 10 years old!
To celebrate, we asked staffers and writers to let us know about their favorite Buzz stories or photos from over the years – to give the rest of us a chance to check them out again, or for the first time if we missed them.
We'd love to share your favorites as well.
Here's our first blast to the past, from Joni Hoffman, and it's a good one:
"As the editor, it is hard to chose just one Buzz article. However, I have to say that A Story of Two Wileys (May 2005) is the one article that still today fills my heart with pride. At the time I remember calling our writer, Cindy Gabriel, telling her that I had heard about a family in Bellaire that adopted their nephew after he lost both parents. Ironically, a few days later I found out that there was another family in West U that also had adopted a friend’s son because he too had lost both parents. Well, the story came to life instantly as we found out that the two boys were both named Wiley. Here is the link to the article."
