A grand affair

RDG + Bar Annie executive chef Robert and Mimi Del Grande and Carolyn Piro Landen and Paul Landen (pictured, from left) mingled at an annual gala that benefits Da Camera of Houston's educational programs and concert series. The event was chaired by Piro Landen, and the honoree was Chef Del Grande. This year's event drew nearly 300 guests and raised $250,000 in support of the organization. Del Grande has been a longtime Da Camera supporter. He joined the advisory board in 2000 and has since served the organization in various capacities, including trustee, president and executive committee member. A group of Houston’s top chefs, including Anita Jaisinghani of Pondicheri, Mark Cox of Mark’s American Cuisine and Chris Shepherd of Underbelly, toasted Del Grande’s contributions to the city’s culinary and cultural scene.
