Library on wheels
Very seldom in life does a group have the opportunity to do something as special as bring a super library-on-wheels to life.
The Curiosity Cruiser [Words on Wheels: Curiosity Cruiser gives gift of reading, by Deborah Lynn Blumberg, December 2017] provided an astonishing number of talented Houstonians the privilege of working together on a project dear to many of our hearts.
It is important to us that you understand our gratitude for helping us reach a larger audience, allowing us to reach new heights in being heard and seen as we embark on a ground-breaking adventure.
Deborah Blumberg visited the Curiosity Cruiser on numerous occasions, joining us for the unveiling and its inaugural visit to a local elementary school. She experienced first-hand the value of our customized bookmobile, as delighted young children stepped into the magical wonderland of our library to receive books of their very own to take home to love and read over and over. Her ability to put words to not only the children’s feelings, but also the founders and creators, reveals not only her talent but her passion for reading.
The Curiosity Cruiser is helping to reduce the obstacles children may have in collecting books for their home. It not only helps develop literacy skills, but stimulates their imagination and encourages brain development. This month alone [January 2018] the Curiosity Cruiser has made 32 public appearances in both schools and the Houston community. We know this is only the beginning, but we are eternally grateful to you for your interest and boldness in joining us as we build a Houston legacy.
Thank you for being part of our journey.
Stephanie Tsuru, co-founder of the Curiosity Cruiser
Over the edge
Great article, and thanks for featuring a very accomplished lady, Katherine Richards [Meet a Neighbor: Katherine Richards, by Angie Frederickson, January 2018], on your [Tanglewood/River Oaks] cover! Katherine and Ashley [Billard] are by far the most accomplished "Edgers" throughout North America and have earned the "Dynamic Duo" title. We are honored each and every time they rappel to raise money for Special Olympics Texas.

Full circle
John (Greer) and I worked together many years ago at KEEE/KJCS radio [Holly St., Lit with Memories, Buzzworthy blog, Dec. 21, 2017]. He was an announcer, and I was marketing and production manager. We were both kids straight out of college. Imagine my surprise when I moved to Bellaire 20 years later and discovered John and his Christmas house! It was no surprise to me that he would maintain such a tradition. He was always a kid at heart! Gee, we have come full circle – now both retired.

Christmas tradition
I went looking for their wonderful lights recently too [Holly St., Lit with Memories]. Sad they’re gone from Bellaire but happy to hear about their retirement and the story behind the wonderful lights! Amazing that they redesigned them every year! Our family enjoyed them over the years so much. Sending huge thanks to them for sharing with us all these years!

Veggie noodle fan
I thoroughly enjoyed reading your article on veggie noodles [Veggie Noodles: Healthy options for the New Year, by Andria Frankfort, January 2018]. As a veggie obsessed health-conscious college student, zoodles are my go to meal. I have found if you cook the extras first (like onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, etc.), then add the zoodles for four minutes, they come out perfect every time. Then add a protein, and it's the best meal ever!
