Asia Society Texas' popular Night Market festival features 80+ local AAPI-owned small businesses, performers, and community partners. The annual street festival celebrates the vibrant diversity of Houston’s Asian American communities through an exciting night of culinary delights and family-friendly fun.

Asia Society Texas' popular Night Market festival returns, featuring 80+ local AAPI-owned small businesses, performers, and community partners. AST’s free outdoor market will be bustling with local retail and food vendors, live dance performances, and Japanese carnival activities. Guests of all ages can look forward to an all-access beer garden, Karaoke Korner, a Chinese lantern display previewing Houston Botanic Garden’s Radiant Nature, and live dance performances by South Seas Productions, UH Modern, Kajal Desai Dance, and University of St. Thomas Filipino Student Association. Inside, guests will enjoy after-hours access to The House of Pikachu exhibition, an artists’ alley featuring select vendors, a manga café, mahjong, and more.

The Party at the Pavilion concert series is brought to you by PATRONS for Bellaire Parks and the City of Bellaire. Join on Nov. 7 for Nightbird, a Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks tribute band. Attendees are welcome to bring their own coolers, alcohol, food and lawn chairs and settle in for a great time. Be sure to bring your own food and drink (no food truck on Nov. 7).

AFA's Bayou City Duck Race

Join East River and AFA (American Festival for the Arts) for the 7th Annual Bayou City Duck Race, a family-friendly fundraiser supporting music education for Houston’s youth. Spectators can watch 5,000 rubber ducks race to the finish along Buffalo Bayou, with prizes for the first 10 finishers and additional “Lucky Ducks” selected at random, including $2,500 cash, Raising Cane’s for a year, gift card packs, and more. Proceeds support AFA’s Play It Forward Fund that helps ensure access to life-changing music experiences for Houston’s young musicians. Attendance not required to win as AFA will contact winners.

The Bellaire Culture and Arts Board is having their annual Fall Holiday Arts and Crafts Festival at Paseo Park this Saturday. Browse goods from local artists and purchase holiday gifts. Parking is available at Condit Elementary School, Bellaire Water Tower Lot, and Fifth Street near Bellaire Rec Center. Dogs on leashes are welcome.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and it begins at Memorial City Lights at The Square. Join as they flip the switch on 4 million lights across 300 acres, the official kickoff to Memorial City’s holiday season. Hosted by Great Day Houston’s Deborah Duncan, highlights include: Santa & the Memorial City Reindeer, live music by Royal Dukes Band and Virtuosi of Houston, a magic showcase by Curt Miller, snow, festive performances, and holiday cheer for all ages. There will also be a toy drive – contribute by bringing a new, unwrapped toy for Lily's Toy Box.

Museum of Fine Arts, Houston invites visitors to celebrate the unveiling of six new temporary sculptures, at its “Myths and Leyendas: Mujeres” festival, including live music, dance performances, art making activities, Lotería, films, and more.

For a fourth year, MFAH invites visitors to celebrate the unveiling of six new temporary sculptures, at its “Myths and Leyendas: Mujeres” festival. Both the festival and Museum are open to the public, with free admission to all galleries and exhibitions, thanks to sponsor H-E-B. The MFAH partnered with Advocates of a Latino Museum of Cultural and Visual Arts & Archive Complex in Houston, Harris County to commission six Houston-based Latinx artists to create the sculptures, inspired by women in myths and legends from across Latin America. Their works will be on view in the Cullen Sculpture Garden. Guests can enjoy live music, dance performances, and art-making activities inspired by works in the MFAH collection. Guests can also play Lotería, inspired by art on view at the Museum. Film screenings will be provided by Houston Latino Film Festival.
