Alina Syed

Hi! My name is Alina Syed, and I am currently a senior at Awty. My passion for writing began in my Speech and Debate days in middle school and I have developed a love for journalism and creative writing since then. I really enjoyed building out compelling narratives across a variety of debate topics to drive my arguments. In my free time, I like staying active as a long distance runner and also enjoy traveling, baking, and spending time with my family! A fun fact many may not know about me is that I am a native Californian but have fully embraced being a Texan. I love Houston’s wide range of diversity, sites, and amazing food!
