Anna Galan

Anna Galan, born in Mexico City and raised in Houston, is a journalism student at the University of Texas at Austin. She attended pre-K through 8th grade at St. Anne and graduated from high school at Incarnate Word Academy. Anna interned for The Buzz in 2022 and wrote for the School Buzz during high school. Alongside her passion for authentic news reporting and storytelling, she is actively involved in the social media department of The Daily Texan, the university’s newspaper, and a smaller lifestyle publication, BurntXOrange. Additionally, Anna is currently a marketing intern for a local theater and a tutoring center in Houston. She is also a member of the Kappa Delta Sigma Epsilon chapter at UT and serves on the marketing team for her sorority. Beyond her work, Anna enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, trying new workout classes, visiting coffee shops, and spending time with her family and friends.
