I’ve always been amazed by the power of the word – whether written or spoken. The shelves crammed full of novels in my room attest to that – my favorites include The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini, The Color Purple by Alice Walker and Atonement by Ian McEwan. This year, I will continue on the debate team. I especially look forward to competing in the International Public Policy Forum, which combines my love of the written and spoken word. I look forward to another year of School Buzz, showcasing Bellaire High School happenings.
