Steffi Halow

Although Steffi Halow considers herself a native Houstonian, she spent her childhood moving across the country and overseas due to her father’s job. Steffi graduated from the Awty International School and is a rising senior at Rice University, pursuing a double major in English and Sociology. Steffi loves to travel and learn about different cultures, and most recently, completed a language immersion program in Madrid, Spain for her certificate in Language and Intercultural Communications. Steffi is passionate about creative writing and film, particularly in its ability to uncover and amplify intriguing stories and unheard voices. For that reason, Steffi is excited to work for the Buzz and continue to learn about the Houston community. Steffi spends her free time watching movies and running, as she is also a member of Rice Varsity Track and Field and Cross-Country.
