Emily Burnett has lived in Houston all of her life. She attends St. John’s School, where she will be a senior in the fall. She ran cross country her freshman year, and is now a cheerleader and runs track. She is a French Club officer and a Staff Reader for Imagination, a student-run literary magazine at St. John’s School. Outside of school, she is involved in National Charity League. In her free time, Emily loves to read and write. She mainly writes poetry and won a National Silver Medal from Scholastic for poetry this year. In addition to reading and writing, Emily loves art, music, and hiking in Colorado during the summer.
