I’m currently a junior at Saint Thomas’ Episcopal School, and also one of the editors for its yearbook. I have been taking photographs for five year and developed an interest for it early on from my dad’s and granddad’s influences. They are shutterbugs! I especially love taking pictures of candid photos of people. I love catching people in their moment when they are just being themselves and not posing for the camera. One could look at the picture and visualize the emotion the subject is feeling. Hence, a picture is worth a thousand words. I did not consider myself a writer until I started to write in my daily journal. Five minutes of writing my thoughts down – from one inspiring word or one picture to three full pages of details – to summarize or detail my feelings on that particular day. I also keep a notebook with me and write down what I find interesting or moving – it could be a joke or quotes from my friends. I enjoy skateboarding and acting whenever I have free time. I also volunteer at the Houston Food Bank and love being part of the team there that fights hunger. This is my second year at St. Thomas’ Episcopal School. Choosing STE was a no-brainer for me and my parents because it is a unique school in many special ways. I look forward into participating in School Buzz because I want to share my memorable school moments and experiences with others.
